Nest wifi - Can I specify IP4 on a device level?

Greetings,

I have some devices that only connect via IP4.  I use Xfinity XB6 modem and am able to have both IP4 and IP6 on the network.  My question is: Can I specify on a device level if the device should use IP4 or IP6 on the Google Nest Router? I have some devices for work that have issues if they are given an IP6 address so I need to ensure that *only* an IP4 address is given to particular devices on my network.

Thanks!

I don't think so. What you see in the Google Home app is what you can do.

Couldn't you disable IPv6 on the device itself?

I don't work for Google.

Greetings,

If at such a time where the software is capable of turning off IP6 on the device level, kindly let me know in this thread , I will keep looking too.  My situation is unique in that I support devices in hospitals that I have to test from home due to Covid.  Under normal circumstances I’d be connecting on a commercial network.  I did want to try out mesh as our house is large but was forced to buy a decent router.

thank you

Hi, everyone.
As we haven't had any activity here recently I'm going to go ahead and close the thread. If you have more to add, feel free to start a new discussion.
