I have a google nest wifi with two access points and the entire house will lose internet connection over and over again all day long. I’ve even switched internet suppliers and it continues to happen. Is there any solution to fix this?

I am also seeing this type of problem. Plus, I don't think my router has been upgraded to the latest version. It's currently sitting at version 1415.376 which, I believe, is not the latest version. I've also found that the access point I have will go off-line for no apparent reason. Can someone give me some guidance?

I have factory reset mine as it dropped the connection to everything. It just now dropped it again, and I am not sure I want to factory reset again. I have confirmed it's not the internet provider as I have an old Wifi Router that works perfectly fine.

Hey folks,
Thanks for reaching out — let's see what's going on.
A few questions: has there been any recent changes on your network structure? Are you using a modem/router combo provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP)? Also make sure that there are no special characters on your guest network's name and password.
Try giving these steps a whirl:
Let us know how it goes.

My Nest router still loses internet connection about once per day. I didn't have this problem when I first got it. Is there a way to automatically reset the router at a certain time every day? Resetting seems to always fix the problem.

Hi Abigail,
I'd prefer not to factory reset the router as I have too many devices I would have to reconfigure. See my earlier remarks about a possible solution.

Hello steve10brink,
I understand that you don't want to factory reset your Nest Wifi devices as you already have client devices connected to it. If you use the same network name and password during setup, your client devices will automatically re-connect to your network without having to manually do it for each one. Let us know what you decide to do. We'll wait for your update.
Best,
Abi

The problem is that I have some computers on DHCP IP reservations and don't want to go to the hassle of adding these in again. I guess if the problem continues I will have to do the factory reset but I want to avoid it if I can. It seems to me that just resetting the network should fix any problems.

Same problem but I dont want to factory reset the router just yet. Resetting the router helps for several days then it has problems again. It would help if there was an automatic reset app available to reset the router at, say, 3am. That should fix the problem without me having to do a factory reset and reconfiguring my network devices.

Hello steve10brink,
I understand your point. If you haven't already, change the DNS to 8.8.8.8 on the primary server and 8.8.4.4 on the secondary server. After that, toggle on the Nest Wifi cloud services. Here's how: open the Google Home app > Tap Wi-Fi and then Settings > Choose Privacy Settings > Toggle Nest Wifi cloud service off, then on > Tap Save.
Keep me posted.
Thanks,
Lovely
