Dear all,
When connected to my new Google WIFI mesh Pro, I'm not able to download apps from Playstore. It is not phone related, everybody from my family has the same problem (different phones, different accounts). Even our smart TV does have this problem. It keeps saying "In behandeling" (Dutch for "Pending...").
When I disable WIFI, and connect to 4G or another WIFI-network, download starts...?
Any idea what I can do to fix this problem?
Thanks in advance!

Try to disable IPv6 if you haven't already. Enabling it too can solve strange problems like this. So try to just toggle this setting basically.
Could also help to set custom DNS:
Also make sure to avoid double NAT if possible, it too can cause strange problems and performance degradation.

I made the changes, and It slightly helped, but downloading from Google Playstore still takes a lot of time. Sometimes it works after a lot of time, but I'm not patient, so I disable my WIFI and download on my 4G. Don't know what to do more. Thank God I'm not downloading a lot of apps, so it isn't that big deal.
The rest works great on Google Nest Pro.

Hi Juancito79,
I'm happy to see you're seeing some improvements. Were you able to get the download fully installed at this point?
Thanks,
Jeff

Hi Jeff,
I'm not having problems to install things, only downloading from Playstore.
I posted a video to illustrate the problem: works on 4G, not on WIFI...

Thanks for the clarification, Juancity79.
Just to double check, did you try disabling IPv6 and enabling WPA3 in your network settings? If so, did anything change at all for you?
Thanks,
Jeff

Dear Jeff,
IPv6 was disabled. I just enabled WPA3, which was not. I will test if that does the trick.
I found out that using a VPN does solve the problem... any ideas about that?

Enabling WPA3 did not solve the problem😔

Hey folks,
Thanks for the updates. Could you confirm what your ISP is?

Hi HanLaporte,
Thanks for that detail. Has this been happening since the setup was completed, or this just happened recently?

I have not done yet a factory reset of the ISP modem, but not yet of the Google Wifi Pro.
Before doing, I would like to know whether I will have to reconnect all my devices again and/or how I can avoid.

Hello HanLaporte,
After doing the factory reset on your Nest Wifi Pro, you can use the same network name and password as before during setup so you don’t need to reconnect your devices again. We’ll wait for your update once you’ve done the step Mel suggested.
Cheers,
Abi

Exactly the same with me

Tested VPN too.
Apps from App Store are indeed downloaded (and installed) while using VPN (with Wifi) and using GPRS 4G with mobile network.
I am also not frequently installing new apps, but more critical is that the existing Apps are not getting updated

I have exactly same issue and is not resolved by toggling the settings. The issue seems to be that downloading is not working or limited to a very small size (not the full app).
12-11-2022 01:34 PM
Hi HanLaporte,
I'm sorry to hear you're also having this issue. To clarify, have you tried doing all the steps provided by @olavrb, including the part where you have to check if you have double NAT in your network? We'll wait for your update.
Cheers,
Abi

I assume I have indeed a double NAT, but the modem/router provided by ISP does not support bridge mode.
I have 2 Google Wifi Pro units connected in Mesh after the ISP modem/router.
Not sure if it is linked to the same issue, but google Home does not detect my new Chromecast any more neither.

Hello HanLaporte,
You may contact your ISP first to confirm if you have double NAT in your network. We'll wait for your update.

Abi

I have contacted ISP. They do not support bridge mode with the current modem/router. They were suggesting to evaluate to make some changes on my responsibility in the advanced setting, implementing portforwarding ??? Not convinced that this would remove the double NAT.
Please advise
