Why am I not getting notifications when the router looses connection if all my notification signs are turned on?

As just another Google Nest customer, and maybe I'm missing something, but I guess I would wonder how a WiFi point could notify you it lost its internet connection, since it would need an internet connection to notify you.

It's not the puck that goes offline that notifies, but Google backend when it looses connection to the puck in question.

Then in this case, is the Google Nest backend apparently failing to send notifications?

That. Or OS notification settings for the app; there are such settings avsilable outside the app on Android at least. Or the problem of Nest Wifi units appearing as offline in the Google Home app without actually being offline.

Hey folks,
Thanks for lending a hand, @olavrb.
@MarinaN, I wanted to check if you were able to take a look at your phone’s notification settings as mentioned above. Please let me know if you are still having any concerns or questions from here, as I would be happy to take a closer look and assist you further.
Thanks,
Abi

Hi Abi,
im still not getting notifications when the router goes offline, but happily the Wi-Fi stopped dropping so often

Hey MarinaN,
I’m happy to hear that the dropping issue has stopped. To confirm, were you able to check your phone’s notification settings? It could be the reason why you’re not getting notifications from your Google Home app.
Cheers,
Abi
