I have the original Google WiFi which has been a champ. Moving to an ONT (PPoE) connection with a new provider and need support for VLAN tagging on device (911 specifically) Beyond the current minimal support which I either double nat or use a managed switch. I would love to know if this support has been extended on the Pro model?

At https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9798157?hl=en I see this:
Nest Wifi and Google Wifi devices built or updated after June 2020, automatically support some VLAN tags and additional steps aren’t usually needed to set up a network. ... Google supports VLAN tag values of 2, 7, and 10 (from a possible range of 0 to 4095). If your ISP requires a different tag, your setup will require an additional device for it to work. To determine the proper tag required, check with your ISP or your modem’s manual.

Hi. I was already aware of the existing "solution" and it's limitation. I was hopeful for confirmation that the Pro doesn't suffer from the same.

Hi.
Thanks for reaching out, essentially I just wanted confirmation if the new WiFi Pro supports vlan tagging, and specifically for my requirement of 911. I'm aware of the documented compatibility for the legacy models but sadly this does not cover my use case.

Hey folks,
There’s no built-in mechanism for Google to identify if a given CPE box requires VLAN or not. This information must come from your ISP, including the value of the VLAN tag, which is a number from 0 to 4095 (decimal). Google supports VLAN tag values of 2, 7, and 10. In one sense, this is a similar situation to PPPoE where you must request or negotiate a username or password from the ISP.
Best,
Mel

@Dan_A , thanks. I already own the original google wifi for my centurylink fiber acct, and use a switch to handle the VLan. I was hoping to rid of the switch by buying the latest: Nest Wifi Pro. However its built-in VLAN support does not include the value that ctl requires. So I'll be sticking with my current set up, though look forward to a day when google's product adds a much broader range of values.
