I setup my ISP PPPoE connection around May using Google Wifi. At the time the router was getting ~520 Mbps. Today it's only been getting 40-90 Mbps. The plan I have is for 1Gbps.
The slowness started happening around July-August. Today I was pretty much forced to rent the hardware from ISP for additional 10$ a month. Using the provided hardware from ISP I'm getting around 700 mpbs.

Hi shouburu,
Thanks for posting — let's see what's going on.
Are you using a modem/router combo from your Internet Service Provider (ISP)? How many devices are dropping from the network? Also, do you have any paused devices?
Give these steps a try:
Make sure that there is minimal to no interference (concrete, bulletproof glass, metal, mirror, etc.) and the points are no more than two rooms apart.
Remove any special characters in your network name and password.
Set a custom DNS at 8.8.8.8 on the primary and 8.8.4.4 on the secondary server. Hit the save/ floppy disk icon on the upper right.
Unplug the power from your Google Wifi devices for 2 minutes.
If the issue persists, try factory resetting your network.
Let us know how it goes.
Best,
Mel

From what I've seen online it looked like Google hardware wasnt up to par when they first release the Google wifi gen 1.
I had to pay 10$ monthly to rent equipment. I'm going to upgrade to newer nest wifi and hopefully that will resolve .
