Solar Inverter not seen on network

Hello

I am new to Google nest pro wifi and currently it works ok however I am trying to connect my Goodwe Solar Inverter wifi to the network but it’s not seen. My iPhone sees the wifi of the inverter.
How should this appear on my Google Home app under Wifi devices? Thanks.

Hi there!

The key issue here is compatibility: Google Nest Pro Wifi is primarily designed for smart home devices, not industrial or specialized equipment like solar inverters. It's unlikely that your inverter will appear as a device on the Google Home app.

Goodwe Inverter's Dedicated App or Platform:

  • Most solar inverters, including Goodwe, have their own apps or online platforms for monitoring and control. These platforms are specifically designed to interact with the inverter and provide detailed information about solar generation.
  • Check the Goodwe documentation to find out if there's a dedicated app or online portal.

Manual Configuration:

  • Some inverters can be manually configured to work with specific routers or networks. This might involve adjusting network settings on the inverter itself.
  • Refer to the inverter's manual for specific instructions.

Remember: While it's possible to find workarounds or third-party solutions, it's generally recommended to use the inverter's dedicated platform for optimal performance and data accuracy.

Would you like to provide more details about your Goodwe inverter model, or have you tried any of the steps mentioned above? This information could help in providing more specific guidance.

Hope this helps!
Brandon.
