Speedtest via AT&T modem 900Mbps, speedtest via Google WiFi 67-150Mbps

We have AT&T Fiber 1000 Mbps w/ AT&T Arris BGW210-700 Broadband Gateway WiFi Modem Router and when I connect directly to the factory AT&T WiFi network, my speedtest through Speedtest app on iPhone is ~900Mbps, however when I connect to the network I set up on Google it's only 67-150Mbps! Any advice on settings to check in the Google WiFi that would be creating a data blockage?

Update: I just tested it on my laptop through WiFi and same results. The factory WiFi is almost full bandwidth, but connecting to the Google WiFi it's almost completely blocked.

Maybe one of the WiFi signals is interfering with the other? We need the Google Mesh to be the primary as we need the extension. TYIA

Hi @contactcohens

If this happens only on the speedtest from Google, try to check all steps here to see if something could affect the speed: Troubleshoot slow internet on Google Nest Wifi or Google Wifi.

Hey folks,

Thanks for posting — let's see what's going on.

Are you using a modem/router combo from your Internet Service Provider (ISP)? How many devices are dropping from the network? Also, do you have any paused devices?

Give these steps a try:

  1. If you're using a modem/router combo, set that to bridge mode to avoid double NAT issues.
  2. Make sure that there is minimal to no interference (concrete, bulletproof glass, metal, mirror, etc.) and the points are no more than two rooms apart.
  3. Remove any special characters in your network name and password.
  4. Turn off IPv6.
  5. Change your DNS server into 8.8.8.8 on the primary and 8.8.4.4 on the secondary server. Hit the save/ floppy disk icon on the upper right.
  6. Unplug the power from your Google Wifi devices for 2 minutes.
  7. If the issue persists, try factory resetting your network.

Let us know how it goes.

Best,

Mel

We still have not resolved the issue. Troubleshooting with ISP, but can't find the conflict.
