Is there a way to manually switch from 5.0 to 2.4 in order to set up these devices?

Hi @Zeeyuan

The Nest Wifi devices does not have an option for separate SSID for 2.4GHz and 5GHz. 🙂

Is there anyway I can split it maybe using an adapter or Something? I tried using the guest network but it doesn’t work.

Hi @Zeeyuan

No it is up to the connecting device to check what the device itself supports.
Nest Wifi uses one SSID but with 2.4GHz and 5GHz active at the same time.

When a device only supports 2.4GHz it will connect to the 2.4GHz.
If it supports both the device chooses which WiFi it will connect to, this is not up to Nest Wifi.

An ugly workaround would be to connect your device from a distance that is to far off for 5GHz so it only sees 2.4GHz (which has a wider coverage).

@Zeeyuan

We do NOT have Google Nest Wi-Fi, but we have a single SSID for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, and all of our Google Nest cameras, doorbells, Nest Hubs, and Nest Mini, old and new, work fine on a mix of 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz.

Thats the problem not ALL of them work I have many Wifi plugs that only see 2.4 and so NO OPTION from the genius who was in charge of wether to include this or not is FANFREAKINGTASTIC Thanks GOOGLE  (FAIL!) So I need to by a different router or just not use the smart plugs I purchased. AWESOME!~ SMH
