Static IP and DHCP

jboulton

Hello,

I have configured my nest wifi router to connect to my static IP.  I also have a wired home network.  Can the router be configured to the Static IP deliving wifi over the mesh network, and connect the other port to my wired netork hub for dhcp so my wired netowrk can work?

Thanks.

Jeff

Hey, jboulton.

You can definitely use a mix of wired and wireless elements on your network as long as you set things up correctly. We have a guide on using such a setup, and you can see there here: https://bit.ly/3AkSkxQ

If you run through that and see anything that doesn't look like it addresses your situation, let me know and we can look closer at the specifics of your setup. Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks.
