Unreliable Mesh System Recommendations

The new Google Nest Wifi pro router is overpriced and over hyped. I followed Google's recommendations based on square footage to replace my older Google mesh network and performance is now worse. Now I think I need two more points (4 total - no my house is not 6000+ sq ft) to actually make it work at my house, now the points are at a much higher price which has not shown it's worth the investment in terms of performance. I should have just stuck with my old mesh or went with a better, competing product. Very disappointing.

Anyone else having similar issues?

Exactly the same experience. The issues I experienced with the prior Google Nest Wi-Fi system were trivial compared to the issues I'm having with the Google Nest Pro system I just invested in. And it's too late to return this equipment for a refund. I was pyched to get the latest and greatest and believed the hype. I get 389Mbps internet speed to the house but the speed through the Wi-Fi it at it's best is 100Mbps and is often 10Mbps or slower. Pages and apps on my Google Pixel 7 Pro sometimes simply do not load. The Home app tells me the speed is "blazing fast" but the speed is lost when arriving at my devices. I've followed advice on this form including a few Factory Resets and it's still terrible. I'm contining to search for threads here that can help me, and found this. Ping me if anyone has thoughts?

Update on my situation. In this forum I learned that you can hard-wire all Google Nest Wi-Fi points (not just the main one used as a router) so I bought another switch, did some additional wiring in the house and moved the points around. It wasn't a trivial endeavor (crawling in the attic and learning about fire blocks in walls. Ugh!) but now my Wi-Fi system seems to maintain good speeds around the house. I get 350+Mbps in most spots and sometimes as low as 100Mbps but so far so good.
