WiFi point connection keeps doing off and back on

I have a nest WiFi point that keeps sending me notifications that it's disconnected. When I go look at it it is already reconnected. I tried all the procedures including reset. I looked at posts and did not see any useful information, except some people tell me to give up on Nest.

Does anyone have anything worth trying?

Following. Similar issue, checking for one last thing to try. I can’t count the number of time I have reset points and factory reset and “rebuilt” network one point at a time trying pinpoint which point could be the culprit.

I started having the same issue today. Both my laptops, one a surface 9 with windows 11 the other a Lenovo Yoga with windows 10 (both religiously updated) disconnect from my Nest Wifi Pro and don't reconnect until I manually go to networking and select the network. I have 2 issues:

1- I can't set the "Automatically connect" dialog box. I click on it, it selects, the laptop connects but when it disconnects and I go back it is unselected.....

2- The laptops randomly disconnect...Just did it right now!!!! Crazy!

I have reset the whole mesh, restarted the laptops, checked the xfinity connectivity, checked that the router Google Nest Pro is connected (and stays connected), did speed tests (close to 1GB/sec).

This is driving me nuts and killing my productivity!!!!

Hi everyone,

Thanks for reaching out about your Google WiFi issue. I apologize for the inconvenience.

To help troubleshoot, I'd like to ask a few questions:

  1. Have there been any recent changes to your network, such as moving to a new location?
  2. How far away are the access points from the child points?
  3. Have you already checked your cables and connections for any loose or damaged ones?
  4. Have you tried restarting your modem, router, and Wifi point(s)?
  5. Have you verified your network configuration settings?
  6. Have you contacted your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to check for any service interruptions?
  7. As a last resort, have you considered resetting your Google Wifi devices to factory settings?

If you've already tried these steps, you can find more troubleshooting information in our article: "Nest Wifi Pro, Nest Wifi, or Google Wifi network not working".

Please let me know if you have any questions or need further assistance troubleshooting the issue.

Best regards,
Jenny

Hi Jenny, thanks for your response.

I had already tried them and none of the suggestions you made had any effect. This is only happening to one access point and the rest of the mesh works fine. Nothing changed in the position or set up since before this problem started happening. I already reset all devices to factory settings and rebuild the network. Nothing worked. And the worst part is that this is intermittent - I get a message that the access point is offline and later on things just start working again.

My best guess is that it's a device problem, but I wish there was a diagnosis to sort it out
