The WiFi on my Google WiFi router works well, but the Ethernet port stopped working today with no changes. It had been working perfectly fine up until today going into an Ethernet switch connected to four devices, but now even connecting it directly to another device does not work anymore. I've tried power cycling multiple times, different Ethernet cables, etc. without getting it to work. I've also seen the same issue across multiple other threads which leads me to think it's a software issue or update issue. Please advise me on how to fix this or if google is working on an update to fix this.

What exact switch brand and model? Some have conflicting features like loop detection or BPDU forwarding prevention, which could stop ethernet from working.
Have you added any new devices to the ethernet network recently? I've read about misbehaving docking stations and bluray players causing the whole ethernet network to go down. See these for instance:
Could be bent pins on a RJ-45 port:
Could be your switch suddenly stopped working:
Could be a defective Nest Wifi unit:

The switch doesn't necessarily matter I think because direct connections to laptop or other devices also stopped working. I haven't added any new devices to the Ethernet network.

If you've checked all the things in my previous post, and have tried a factory reset and set up from scratch, then it sounds like a defective unit. Then I'd contact Google Nest support and hope for a RMA.
