Wifi internet access

I have a Google mesh system which works fine throughout the house.  I've recently linked up my laptop to a mesh router via ethernet to get a slightly faster connection at times .  Until today, when I unplugged the ethernet cable, I continued to get internet access via wifi, but today I can only get internet via ethernet, even though wifi is shown as connected.  All other appliances can get internet wifi without any difficulty.

I know it sounds cliché but have you tried turning off your laptop and turning it on again? If only your laptop is experiencing the problem, it is highly likely to be an issue with the laptop and not Nest Wifi.

Thank you - yes, I have tried this, but it didn’t make any difference.

Thank you - I use Linux Mint.  I'm shown as connected to the network, but there is a padlock next to the entry.  I haven't discovered how to unlock it.

Hi @couissent,

Thank you for your reply.
I appreciate the information you have shared. I understand your frustration with the network connection issue on your Linux Mint system.
To resolve this, please try the following:

  1. Check Network Settings: Open the Network Manager app and verify that the correct password is entered for the network connection.
  2. Network Manager Configuration: Explore the Network Manager settings for any specific options related to Wi-Fi security or authentication.

If these steps don't resolve the issue, I recommend you contact Linux Mint customer support for further assistance. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you.

Regards,
Jorge
