Wifi nest point - operation timed out

Hi there,

I am having trouble setting up my third nest point. I get all the way to the end of the process, the base lights up blue and it says something like “checking final bits” and this remains for two or three minutes, during this time the light on the nest turns off and the process fails and says operation timed out. 

I have factory reset the nest device, I have tried a custom room as suggested on other posts, I have tried closer and further away from other points. 

Any suggestions on how to complete this set up successfully ?

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with setting up your third Google Nest Wi-Fi point. I see that you already tried some troubleshooting steps. I'd love to know more about this and I have a few questions:

• Does the child point broadcast the setup SSID located at the bottom of the unit?
• What's the color of the light on the parent point and child point?
• How far is the Google Nest Wi-Fi point from the parent point?
