Hi there,
Just reaching out here to see if anyone else has encountered this issue before. Basically, I have a couple of Arlo pro5 cams along with older pro 3 and video doorbell. The pro 5 onboard fine, but after a couple of hours they just don't stream or record anymore. A quick toggle on and off can fix the issue but only lasts a little while. I have an open case with Arlo for over 1 month and they still can't figure it out. To be honest, I don't think they will.
I have
- connected the pro 5s over wifi and via smart hub (same issue)
- use google router straight into what we have here in Australia the NTD box which is the national broadband box
- my pro 3 and video doorbell both legacy work fine so there is something going on with google router/wifi and arlo and i can't figure it out. I don't have any firewalls, don't use vpn so it's a straight forward set up.
Has anyone faced this same issue? Have a fix or just know what's going on? Fact that connection via wifi and smart base has the same issue is just frustrating.

Hi Zm1901,
Thanks for reaching out to the community. I'm sorry to hear that your Nest WiFi Pro is not connecting your Arlo Pro 5 cameras to stream live.
We can assist you in troubleshooting the Nest WiFi Pro, but it appears that the Arlo Pro 5 cameras are the source of the issue. I am aware that you have already been in touch with Arlo Pro 5 camera support, and they are now working on a case about your issue. I can only recommend waiting for your camera provider's response, as we do not currently have any knowledge regarding how those cameras operate.
Feel free to keep us posted if you have more questions.
Regards,
Gabriela
