Will Nest WiFi pro support VLAN tagging other than defaults?

Chipsandsoda

I have used google/nest wifi mesh router and loved it but had to switch as I have fiber that requires a VLAN tag of 201. I have been unhappy with my current non Google/Nest router and am hoping this new pro version will add in support for more VLAn tags. Has anyone seen any information or rumors about support in the Nest pro?

My guess is no.

A similar thread was created 8th of October, but Google hasn't answered yet. Follow the progress there:

Have you considered running a smart switch between your modem and Google Nest Wifi, which can untag the VLAN before it hits Nest Wifi?

Some additional trobleshooting tips if you go for a TP-Link switch:

I don't work for Google.

Hey everyone,

It looks like we've slowed down here. We'll be closing up the thread in the next day unless anyone else has any input or needs anything else. If so, just let me know and we can keep this open a bit longer.

Thanks,
Jeff
