Will my wifi point remember settings after turning off and on?

Hi! Can a wifi point- not a router or google nest, I mean a wifi extension- remember the settings of wifi connection even if I unplug and replug it?

My landlord needs to set the wifi extension up again, but I want to suggest that he configure it in his own home and then I can just receive it and plug it in here.

I just prefer not having visitors at the moment.

Yes.

"Are there any products where that’s not possible?"

Not that I know of, that would be a poor design. Power interruption should not delete settings of a network device.

I don't work for Google.

For the sake of future reference, obviously the unplugging of the Ethernet cable does nada as well, since the device needs power to perform any action.

As long as it’s within range of the main point (router, google nest primary point, etc) when plugging it in, in all likelihood it’ll work fine.

Thanks for the help:D
