Xbox Series X unable to connect

Kbauer1030

I've been using Google mesh for several years. I have multiple Xbox consoles on our network and have never had any issues with connectivity. We recently had a power outage while out of town, and when we returned my series x would no longer connect to our network wirelessly. A few of our other devices had brief issues that resolved on their own, but nothing has worked for the Xbox. I tried troubleshooting with my ISP as well as with Microsoft to no avail, as well as quite a few online forums with similar issues. I was able to connect it to my phone's hotspot so I know the wireless card is still working, and it works when hardwired to the network. Have tried factory resetting the console, updating the IP to automatic, and clearing the MAC address.  Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Kbauer1030,

Thanks for reaching out. We'd love to help.

Please do a 2-minute power cycle on your entire network starting from your modem, router, and points. Once done, try to reconnect your Xbox Series X. If the issue persists, you can try setting up your device using a mobile hotspot again. Use the same username and password for it, so once you turn off the hotspot, it will connect to your Wi-Fi network.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Lovely

Hi Kbauer1030,

Have you tried the troubleshooting steps that I suggested above? Let me know if that did the trick or not, so we can try something else.

Sincerely,
Lovely

Hey sorry I had not seen your responses! Yes I tried all those things. After a second phone call with Xbox support they declared it a hardware failure and had me send it in to them. Haven't heard back from them yet, but they received it yesterday so I should probably hear something soon.
