I am setting up my google mini and got to the part where it asks for my user name for wifi and password. where do I find user name or how do i set up new one?

The network/ Wi-Fi name, also known as SSID, is the username.

If you have a Google Nest Wifi mesh network, you can find the password in the Google Home app:

Other routers often has network name and passeord written on the router itself; behind it or under it.
