I have recently changed to a Bell fibre router. My Google mesh is connected from that. My Canon 7000 series printer seems only able to connect to one or the other, so if I can print from my primary machine no one else on the network can connect, and vice versa. Is there a way to connect the printer to both?

Sadly no, you would need to all be on the same network for all devices to have access to the printer.
I use Rogers here, but what I did was use the ISP provided router as a modem only, disabled all router functions, and run my home network on the Google mesh devices. This avoids any network issues.

Thank you. That had been becoming clear to me -- but I think I may have a workaround. My printer sits next to my computer, and I think I can connect them by USB cable, still use the computer's network connection to Belll, and also have the family on the Google mesh with access to the printer. I just acquired the cable and need to do a bit of carpentry and equipment moving to test it but unless I misread the Canon site it should work. I'll be back if it doesn't.

That would only work if the computer was on the Google network.. you can give it a try but my suggestion would be to operate everything on one network to avoid issues.

@Russ08, chiming in to ensure everything is good here. Have you had the chance to try the suggestion above? If yes, how is it?
Best,
