I recently subscribed to Google Fiber, and they provided the Google wifi router with it. The internet speed was supposed to be 1Gbps (Fiber), but I never got more than 100Mbps on my devices. Today I finally discovered what the issue was. The cable that comes WITH the wifi router (white thin ethernet cable) has a limit of 100Mbps. When I switched cables I started getting the 1Gbps. I still can't believe Google did this...

Hello @fruaro
The pack-in cable should be able to support 1Gbps, but they can occasionally be poorly manufactured and may not support the full expected speed. It's unfortunate you got a bad cable, but that was not the intent.
