nest wifi pro point offline

I have a Nest WiFi Pro point with a slow blinking yellow light -- meaning, I suspect, that it's offline. the point is wirelessly connected to the router and I've moved it to within 15 feet of the router in the same room. After power cycling it, it still has the slow blinking yellow light.  The performance of the router and the other point (which has a wired backhaul to the router) seems fine. This has been going on for days but it's a new problem since for months the wireless point seemed to be online and working fine. All three of these devices are on firmware 3.74.447573 which was pushed in mid-December 2024.

Using the Home app I've restarted the point and run a mesh test. The results: "Your mesh connection is working well -- everything looks good." But it also has "great connection" for the wired point and "offline" for the wireless point.

Any suggestions? If I do a factory reset on the wireless point, will that in effect do a factory reset for my entire network, or will the router be able to re-incorporate it back into the mesh network?

Many thanks ... Don

A few more details ..... the wirelesss point is now just 10 feet from the router and blinking "offline". I connected a wired backhaul and power cycled the point and it came back online just fine. I ran a mesh test and it said everything was hunky-dory.  However when I remove the wired backhaul (turning it back into wireless) and power cycle the point it reboots with the yellow blinking light and is "offline".

So, my question is how to troubleshoot a point when wireless backhaul doesn't appear to be working?

OK, I did a factory reset on the wireless point. That removed it from the 3-node mesh, dropping it down to a 2-node. I could then add the point back in to the mesh but it seems that it had to be wired for the setup to find it. After the point was found and added it, I could remove the wired backhaul and reposition it into another room.
