My Google nest WiFi points used to be able to add things to my Google Keep Shopping List. Now they can't. They can read the list, they can create a list, but they can't add anything to it.
It just says: sorry something went wrong while I was trying to change your list
when you try to do so.
Please don't tell me to do useless things like restart my router and WiFi points or clear my cache, or even factory settings reset. I've done those things. It is likely because I'm a legacy GSuite user... We can't even add extra family members to our home. But we were able to use the points to add things to the Google Keep Shopping List.
Any actual solutions?

Can you test doing it from your phone? I thought I had a similar issue BUT I also can't add to my shopping list using the Google Assistant app on my phone. Also, are you using a Google Workspace (maybe Legacy) account?

I can add things to the shopping list using Google Keep directly but my phone (pixel 6 pro) has switched to Gemini instead of assistant now. And it just says "Sorry I can't help with that".

Hi jamescummings,
Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear about the situation that you are experiencing with the Google Keep Shopping List that is not letting you add anything. I understand that you tried multiple steps to solve this situation. In this case, you can give our friends at Google Keep Help a shout. They're the best team to help you find out what's happening with your situation.
Please let me know if you have more questions.
Best regards,
Jenny

When I went onto my list on my phone, it would not add and said the list was full (due to ticked off items not being deleted). I deleted the ticked off items, waited half an hour, and now I can add items via my Google home speaker again

I tried manually deleting most of ticked items on my shopping list, I've even removed and re-added the list. No joy.

I believe it's related to this issue and is only affecting Google Workplace accounts.
Apparently "this is a known issue, and the team is actively working on a fix" but I wouldnt hold my breath. It's been broken for months and Google are notoriously TERRIBLE at supporting Workplace customers, even though they are paying customers. Workplace accounts are treated as second-class citizens at Google.
