I've had our nest running for months. Starting Sept 4th, some devices could no longer reconnect. Different platforms, different type of devices. Now, it's intermittent. We've rebooted the wifi router and modem. We've rebooted the devices. No change. Any ideas how to fix?

I’ve also been having this issue, and not receiving notifications when they are in the WiFi. I’ve tried restarting the router and modem with little effect.

I also have the same issue, I first notice the problem about 1.5 days ago. I have tried to move them around. Running Mesh test, devices tested, migrate from google wifi app to google home app. Nothing seem to help. I had an extra Google Nest point but I was unable to add it to environment. I think the firmware update killed it. I tried to look up when was the last firmware update but I have not find the information yet.

Ditto. The nest router and points keep going offline randomly. I’ve tried factory rests and didn’t work ( if fact it happen 2 mins after resetting everything). Hopefully a firmware issue that’s fixed soon.

Dear Google,
After a hard power reset, the problem become worsen. Now, my smart light switches won't to connect. The Home apps doesn't provide enough information/log to troubleshoot the problem. Either you have a manufacture defect batch or this firmware update was release by mistake. Is possible to rollback the update? This problem becoming extremely problematic, due to freezing during conference call, my kids online classes, unable to turn on/off light to the dark barn....

Upon further investigation, the problem was not related to the firmware, but with one of the access point not functioning properly. From Google Home or Wifi apps, it looks normal, but it doesn't handle/accept wifi client. You can reset all device to manufacture setting and re-install it. Or isolate the problem device by the following steps.
1) Power off all Wifi router and points
2) Test your wifi service with just Google wifi router; if the router, then reset to manufacture and reinstall it, otherwise continue
3) Power on a point at the edge of the wifi range and Mesh test to make sure it's working as expected
4) Test the wifi service
5) Repeat step 3 and 4 until you find the problem point and reset to manufactory and re-add it.
Good Luck, I hope this is your problem too!
