weak spots near a mesh puck

I have 4 google mesh pucks in my home. We experience weak signal even when near a puck. Watching a signal strength meter, using WIFI man app, it seems the previous puck is holding on to our device too long, not letting the nearer puck take over the signal relay.

Is there a way to reset the -db limit that it will release the signal to another puck?

Not possible to adjust on Nest Wifi unfortunately. Read more about how roaming and handoff work in the link bellow; it's not just up to the access points, clients are a big part of it too.

I don't work for Google.

Hi folks,

@olavrb, thanks for the assistance here.

Thanks for reaching out, @droolingpiston. I want to check if you need anything else. We don't have a way to reset and release the signal from one Google Wifi or Nest Wifi point to another. Changing the placement of your Wifi points can help you find the best location that can improve the internet connection in your home's dead spots. Check out this support website for more information.

Keep me posted.

Best,
