Certification question

Hello,

We are developing a smart home solution and currently working on a Google Smart Home Action (in development) to control our devices. As we prepare to move to production, we would like to clarify the requirements regarding user information display during account linking.

At the moment, we are using AWS Cognito with the Hosted UI for user authentication. However, we’ve found the customization options for the authentication flow to be quite limited. Specifically regarding the consent page requirement.

Could you please let us know if there are specific Cognito User Pool configurations required to pass Google Smart Home Action in production certification for account linking?

Best regards,

For Google Smart Home production certification with AWS Cognito, your consent screen must clearly display your app name, requested scopes (e.g., name, email), and an access revocation option. Even with the limitations of Cognito’s Hosted UI, ensure your User Pool app client settings include correct redirect URIs and scopes. If branding is crucial, consider customizing the UI through the Cognito domain’s hosted page HTML.
