Hi,
I am unable to create a project using the Device Access Console. My account is active. I have agreed to the terms and paid the $5. There is zero additional information on the cause of the error/issue.
I can see that others have had the same issue. But no root cause/fix.
Your assistance would be appreciated.

To add. I created an entirely new, unrelated account and had the same issue. Has anyone successfully created a project recently?

Found a workaround. On step 3 disable Pub/Sub. This will let you create the project. I hope it works for you.

Yes able to create the project now with workaround, but not able to enable Pub/Sub once project is created.

Please have a look at this Google Nest integration - what am I doing wrong? : r/homeassistant. creating a pub/sub topic and subscription manually fixed it for me.

I tried to follow this but I'm either missing something or I screwed something up... after creating a topic and a subscription in my project, when I go to configure the HA integration and enter the cloud project ID and device access project id, it kicks me to a page that reads:
Please contact [project-name] if the issue persists
this is honestly enough to make me want to never buy a google product ever again...

This is the error being returned in the Device Access Console when trying to enable pubsub.

You don't have to enable pub/sub in device access console. creating the pub/sub topic and subscription yourself is sufficient. In HA I did not add the device it found but I went the "add integrations" route. after about 30 mins when I created the topic and subscription it started to work. I tried many many times.
