Feature Request: Voice Command for YouTube TV Multiview on Chromecast

"I am requesting a feature enhancement to enable voice control for Multiview on Chromecast with Google TV / Google Assistant devices."

Goal: I would like to be able to launch a pre-set Multiview bundle (e.g., 'News Multiview' or 'Live Games Multiview') directly using a Google Assistant voice command.

Suggested Command: "Hey Google, play the sports multiview on YouTube TV on [Chromecast Name]."

Benefit: This would eliminate the need to navigate the menu with the remote and significantly improve the hands-free user experience for this premium feature.

Good feature request. Voice control for YouTube TV Multiview would definitely improve the user experience.

Currently, YouTube TV's Multiview feature requires manual navigation through the app interface. Adding voice command support for launching pre-configured Multiview bundles would be a natural extension of existing Assistant capabilities.

Next step: Please file this request in Buganizer and share the ticket number here. That way I can track it internally and follow up with the YouTube TV and Assistant integration teams.

Include in your ticket:

• The exact voice command format you're proposing
• Current behavior vs. desired behavior
• Use cases (sports, news, etc.)

Once you have the bug ID, post it here and I'll escalate appropriately.

How do I get access to Buganizer?

That’s a solid idea. Right now, voice commands with Chromecast and YouTube TV are limited to opening the app or tuning to a single channel, so Multiview bundles can’t be launched by voice yet. The best move is to submit this directly through the Google Home app → Settings → Help → “Send feedback.” That goes straight to the product team and carries more weight than forum posts alone. If enough people request it, there’s a good chance it’ll get added in a future update.
