Hi,
I've noticed that the Google Home app only supports a fraction of the devices the Matter spec supports, and I'm wondering why the Matter version in Google Home is only 1.0. Also, why doesn't Google Home support all devices from even the 1.0 spec? I need these devices for my smart home, and I'm currently unable to use them.

Hello, While Matter 1.0 is officially supported in Google Home, not all device types from the spec are enabled yet. Google rolls out support in phases to ensure quality, compatibility, and security across the ecosystem. Device support often depends on testing, ecosystem readiness, and user demand. Hopefully, broader support including Matter 1.4 features, will come in future updates. You can also follow Google’s Matter developer page for the latest info.

I checked compatibility page freshness: "Last updated 2024/12/20"
Is this a joke? Google rolled out no support changes over entire year?
Looks like Google Home is dead before it event took off.
