Hi,
I hope this is the right subreddit to ask technical questions about Google Home. I have to admit I'm baffled by the choices on developers.home.google.com and what's happening now Conversational Actions has been deprecated. All I want to do is be able to add a voice command to my own Google Home that sends the text of what I said to a webhook and then just reads out the text that's returned. What's the best way to do that now? Is it via cloud-to-cloud (and therefore needing to go through the whole process of setting up an OAuth2 server)?
Thanks.

👋Almost all of the posts in here have no responses. Is this forum monitored by anyone from Google? I hope someone can please point me to the right docs for my simple project. Thanks.

Thanks for responding @sipriyadarshi . What a bizarre step backwards. On the one hand Google is significantly pushing Gemini, on the other it's removing functionality that already exists in a significant number of homes. It very much feels like "smart home" is still on Google's roadmap but any other use of in-home speakers is being quietly phased out. I think that's going to be be a huge mistake in the long run.
