Hi,
I may be completely off base here, but...
I use Home Assistant with my Google speakers. I've created my own doorbell that "rings" (plays a ding-dong MP3) on all speakers and our phones.
The issue I have is when the doorbell button is pressed all speakers make a "chime" sound before playing the ding-dong MP3 file. I believe it has to do with the speaker activating and I think it only does it when a "works with Google" device sends something to the speaker.
On the Home Assistant forums, there are several posts with clever sequences to try to stop this chime. All with varying degrees of success.
I've had a brief look at the home and local home SDK docs but there is a lot to go through so I thought I'd ask here if anyone knows if it's even possible to turn it off and if so, can anyone advise where I might find it amongst this lot?
If it is a local home SDK, then I hope the modification can be done in this receiver,
If the chime isn't related to activation, as the sound is played via Cast, would the Cast SDK be an alternative avenue to explore?
Any advice will be gratefully received.
Thank you.

Hello @woter ,
You can make use of the quiet time feature to mute indoor chime. More information about how to implement this can be found here.
You can also try writing a firewall rule to make this work. But, implementing this can have additional consequences and may causing breaking of other features too.

Hi @sipriyadarshi ,
Thanks for replying.
This solution doesn't use the Nest door bell or cameras. I have made my own doorbell using a smart button, Google speakers and Home Assistant.
When someone presses the smart button, Home Assistant plays an MP3 via its Cast integration on all my Google speakers.
What is this "chime" sound that the Google speakers make before playing audio?
Thanks again.
