Ranking of starting Actions vs. Devices

The problem is to have an event like "marquee off" which should trigger a google action. But instead of starting the action it is trying to turn off the device marquee (which does not exist). So to solve this an action with a matching "OK Google" event  should be started before searching for a device. Well, is there a way to overcome this ? Unfortuantely the problem did appear with one of the latest updates, before ~Sep23 ti did work.

  • What you are trying to achieve was earlier possible through conversational actions. The conversational actions are now deprecated hence this is not possible now. 
  • In order to pass a voice command to google you need to have a smart device. If you don’t have a physical smart device you can create a virtual smart device using the codelab and issue voice commands.
