Hello @goitart ,

Thanks for reaching out to us with your issue. Using alarm as a starter of a script is currently not feasible with Automation Script. For a device to be a starter device, it has to be of one the device types supported as starters and actions in automation.
Also, the features of an android device (like alarm clock) cannot be used as a starter or an action with Automation Script Editor.

I'm not sure what you're using as a clock but if you use the Google clock app on an android phone (Also nest hub & Lenovo alarm clock) as your alarm, there is an option to run a Google assistant routine when you dismiss the alarm.

yes it's google clock  but I don't have this option (some my friend do but not me)🫤

Ah... Just did a quick google search and I see that the option is not available  both your assistant language and device (android) language were set to English (US).

So is the option gone or do I have to change my language, because I have the same problem, I cant start my routines with alarm dismissals

no, i still have problem even with English language, maybe its because of android 15 beta?

So it's not available for automation scripts, but it was once available in the normal clock app on android and supposedly choosable as a starter in the normal automations UI, has it been removed?

Can't you schedule your lights to turn on at the same time as your alarm clock meaning instead of having the alarm clock as the trigger have the time be your trigger?

Yes u can, but I don't want to re-set this everytime I change my alarm (everyday). and it's not that comfortable to do.it in google assistant app

I know that this topic is considered answered but I thought I would throw this in here. When using the google clock app as your alarm (Android phone, Lenovo alarm clock, Nest Hub) you should have the option to have it trigger a Google Home routine when you dismiss the alarm.

That said, as @goitart mentioned, some people do not have that option showing up in the alarm settings of the app. I'm not sure why this is happening and I have seen various solutions to it when doing a google search. One link says your system and clock language has to be in English(us) but I'm not so sure of that as I have the setting in my app and I'm set to English(Canada) for them both. I've also seen it suggested that having Gemini installed causes this option not to be available but I have Gemini installed and the option is there.

Anyway, if you're using the google clock as your alarm, the option should be between (Vibrate) and (Delete). If it's not there, you can try following the instructions at https://www.howtogeek.com/406742/how-to-set-up-routines-in-google-clock-on-android/ where it gives instructions on how to enable it.
