2x Google Nest Mini (2nd Gen) -After Successful Stereo the other speaker keep unlinking

After successfully pairing the speakers as stereo, they both unlink and says "Cannot connect the other paired speaker, please make sure its plugged in". What Happens in the app is that When I pair Speaker A with Speaker B it will become, Paired  Speaker (A+B) but when i cast on them "casting on Paired Speaker (A+B)" it make a sound  "Cannot connect the other paired speaker, please make sure its plugged in" then suddenly Speaker B will reappear in the google home app while Speaker A will remain named as Paired Speaker (A+B) but only 1 Side is working, whereas Speaker B will continue to work as normal.

P.S. When I paired them and try to SEPARATE them via app, it does nothing

Hi cvmmapuan,

This is not the experience we want you to have, let me help you. A few questions: when did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made? Are they working individually? When you did the factory reset, was it the same steps as what you see in this link?

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router, followed by your Nest speakers.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

Once done, unpair your 2 Nest Minis as a speaker pair. Here’s how:

  1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as your Google Nest or Home speaker.
  2. Open the Google Home app.
  3. Touch and hold the stereo pair's tile.
  4. At the top right, tap Settings > Separate stereo pair > Separate.

Important: After you unpair your speakers, you need to relink the device that was on the right side to your Google Account:

  1. From the Home tab, touch and hold the right-side speaker that you need to relink.
  2. Tap Settings > Link account.

On the home screen, your 2 speakers should be listed separately.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for helping, Biggsyboi.

Hi BorisSkapik,

I’m sorry to hear that. Including your phone, are all your devices on the same Wi-Fi network including the frequency like 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz? If so, then let’s revert your Nest Mini to its default settings by doing a factory reset. Here’s how:

  1. On the side of your device, switch the mic off.
  2. The lights will turn orange.
  3. Hold the center of the Nest Mini, where the lights are on top.
  4. After 5 seconds, your device will begin the factory reset process.
  5. Keep holding for about 10 seconds more, until a sound confirms that the device is resetting.
  6. Redo the setup.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Dan
