4 nest hubs, 1 & 2 are the same, 3 is different and 4 too!

Hi

I have recently bought 4 nest hub 2nd gen. Mine and the one in the kitchen are the same: same apps, tabs etc.

1 in daughter 1's room has german text on it although language is set in dutch, and has no apps at all and lacks a few tabs. Her menu also comes from the top (already tried soft and hard reboot, AND factory reboot) 

1 in daughter 2's room lacking apps and tabs. 

Weird thing is all 4 have the same software and firmware versions.

Does one or another have to do with age restrictions? How can i solve the language issue on that 1 hub?

 

Please help.

From whom did you buy your Nest Hubs? If you're buying from a reputable seller, they should all be the same and configured for your country. What country are you in?

I have bought them in 2 pairs on the webshop of Tink. I am located in Belgium.

Well, it seems like Tink is selling Nest Hubs that are pre-configured differently. You might have to contact Tink about the two Nest Hubs that are problematic. Were the two problematic Nest Hubs in the same pair?

Hi Ynske,

 

That certainly isn’t the experience we want you to have ― let’s take a look. A few questions: when you did the factory reboot, was it the same steps as what you see in this link? Have you already contacted Tink about you 2 Nest Hubs? Are those the Nest Hub 1st Gen or 2nd Gen?

 

To change the language, follow these steps:

 

  • On your mobile device, open the Google Home app.
  • At the top right, tap your account and then Assistant settings >  Languages.
  • Tap your current language > choose a new language.
  • Set the 1st language to English and the 2nd to your desired language.
