Alarm morning routine glitching

Nest displays offer the function of starting your morning routine when turning off your alarm. I have enabled this but when I turn off my alarm in the morning, instead of starting the routine - it says good morning repeatedly (about 5 times) before stopping and not completing the routine. Seems like a glitch but not sure if there is a workaround?

Thanks for reaching out. Oh no! That is definitely a concerning issue, alarms are an important start to your day. I would be more than happy to help find a solution. First, I have some questions regarding this situation.

  • Which Google device is this post in regard to? (model name, generation number)
  • Does your device power on and work normally besides this issue?
  • Could you try to do a Factory Data Reset? Does this issue still occur?
    • A factory reset will reset your Google Nest or Home speaker or display to its default factory settings.
    • Note: This action will clear your data from the device and can't be undone.
