All Nests Responding Incorrectly

quarkrad

I have six nest (5 x Gen2 1 x gen1) in my house and a mains plug that switches on my PC.  It use to be the case that the living room next seemed to control the mains plug that is called Blue Room.   So ...  if I said 'Hi google, turn on the Blue Room, the switch would turn on and fire up the pc.  Likewise with 'Turn the Blue Room off'.   What is happening now is that if the pc is in the 'on state' and somebody using the pc, if I say, to any nest in the house, 'Hi google, turn off' (e.g . I want to turn off the nest in an upstairs bedroom) I get the response 'OK, turning off the Blue Room'.  This is more than inconvenient as somebody is usually using the pc in the Blue Room!   This happens now with every nest!   The only way around this is to say 'Hi google, turn yourself off'.   Has there been some sort of change or am I not configured properly?

Hello quarkrad,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

Since it used to be working before, have you check if you had made any changes on your network settings? If not, try to reboot your devices simply by unplugging your speakers and router from the power source for at least a few minutes. After all the devices are plugged in, say "OK Google, sync my devices". As soon as the devices are synced, use the same commands you used and see if there's any changes in its behavior.

Let me know how it goes.

Best,

Princess
