Hi there,
I have a Google speaker in every room in my house, and a pixel phone. Recently, whenever I would try to add something to my shopping list or to do list as I would before Google nest replies with "sorry, something went wrong when trying to change your list." It seems to have read access as when I try to create a new list of the same name it says "there's already a list named shopping...", and my phone has responded in more detail that it doesn't have access.
Why is this, what caused this to happen, and how can I fix it?
Appreciate all the help you can provide!

Hi @Trimmball,
Thanks for posting in the community! I'm sorry to hear that your Nest speaker is unable to add a shopping list. Help's here!
I also apologize for the delay in response. Unfortunately, adding shopping lists is no longer available on Google speakers and displays. We're making some changes to improve quality and reliability, focusing on the features you enjoy most. For more information, refer to the next article: Changes we’re making to Google Assistant.
I deeply appreciate you sharing your thoughts and experiences, and we'll take it as feedback. I understand that it's a feature that we all hope will be available again as soon as possible.
Let me know if you have more questions.
Best regards,
Jenniffer

Ok. That feature was pretty much the only thing I used the smart speakers for, so is definitely the feature I enjoy the most. How can you make sure that you focus on quality and reliability of this feature that I enjoy the most?

Thank you for your response.
Unfortunately I'm not interested in providing feedback as it's not my duty to improve a product that you are providing, least of all when it is being actively worsened.
Thank you for your suggestion, what sort of alternative can you suggest? I'm very keen to regain this functionality as it improved my home's quality of life quite a lot and am open to improvements you can provide.

Is there any way to revert back to a previous version? This is so terrible.
My partner and I were considering upgrading to Home Assistant anyway so very likely we'll now sell these speakers and manually create this functionality in home assistant, if there's no alternative. What tangible benefit can we expect from turning off these features? They worked fine?
