Nest not responding

whenever talking to google nest there is a long pause and says "something's not right, wait a few minutes and try setting up again. You can also try unplugging your device and plugging it back in." I have unplugged and replugged in the nest mini, I have factory reset it, I have moved it to literally right next to the router, I have removed it from my google home and readded it, I have deleted and reinstalled my google home app, I have restarted my router, I have swapped it to and from 5 gigahertz and 2 gigahertz connections, I have scoured forum and webpages alike to find answers and can not find anything that has worked. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SEND HELP!!

If enough people bring this up they might actually respond. I'm assuming its a mini on the latest firmware from 15th July?

I have exactly same problem, and did the same as you, but nothing makes it work.

Hi, @graveyardblues and @AustinSeven,

Thank you so much for reaching out to the community. I’m truly sorry your Google Nest Mini is not responding. I’m happy to help!

Thank you for trying the steps you mentioned. I'm sorry they didn't work. To better assist you, I’d like to know:

  • Is the speaker or display plugged directly into a wall outlet, or is it connected to a surge protector?
  • When plugged into a wall outlet, does the speaker show any LED lights indicating power?
  • Have you tried plugging the speaker into a different wall outlet?

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

  • Plug the speaker into a different wall outlet.
  • Discharge the speaker or display:
    • Unplug the power adapter from the outlet and the speaker.
    • Leave it unplugged for 20 seconds.
    • Plug the power adapter into the speaker.
    • Plug the other end of the power adapter into a wall outlet that works.
    • Check if any LED lights would appear on the speaker or display.
  • If you have another speaker, try using its power adapter.

Please let me know how it goes.

Best regards,

Ana
