All my Google Home (Nest) devices suddendly stopped casting

As the title says, I have several Google devices at home that suddendly stopped casting Spotify and other sources.

I have the following:

• 3x Google Home Mini (Gen1)
• 2x Nest Mini (Gen2)
• 1x Google Home Hub 7'

All of them stopped receiving cast commands from Spotify and Youtube...I'm also unable to control their volume and perform other actions through the Google Home app.

They still appear as connected and respond to voice commands as usual with Home Assistant.

I know that something happened recently to Chromecast devices (see this post) , and I don't know if its related or not..

I'm reluctant to execute a factory reset.

Anyone else having issues with their Google Home devices?

yes im having issues with using google nest voice assistants playing spotify on other devices. for me it says playing spotify on "Kitchen Speakers" but then plays nothing. Kitchen Speakers is the name of a chromecast audio.

• Is the Google Home app on your phone/tablet up to date?
• Are you getting any error messages when trying to cast to your Chromecast Audio?
• Is your Spotify app up to date?
• Have you tried casting from other apps besides Spotify?
• Have you tried linking and unlinking your Spotify account from your Google Home app?

• What actions can't you perform through the Google Home app other than controlling the volume? Does this happen on all devices?
• Have you tried using a different phone/tablet to control your Google Home devices?
• Are your Spotify and YouTube apps up to date?
• Have you tried casting from other apps besides Spotify and YouTube?
• Have you tried linking and unlinking your Spotify account from your Google Home app?
