Always broadcasts to "me" when i say "me"

Edited for further clarification of attempted fixes:

I have 3 google home devices (as pictured):

20211006_122010.jpg

They are on 3 different floors: Kitchen 1st, Bedroom 2nd, Attic 3rd. We use them to intercom with Broadcast function.  However, after some recent update (hard to tell when it started exactly,  but definitely sometime in 2021) whenever I give a command referring to myself as "me" the request gets the response sent to the ATTIC device as a Broadcast. Examples:

1  SELF: "Hey (g-word) give me today's weather."

DEVICE: Ok. Broadcasting to (brief pause) "me"

2  SELF:"Explain a carburetor to me."

DEVICE: Ok. Broadcasting to (brief pause) "me"

3  SELF:"Sing me a song."

DEVICE: Ok. Broadcasting to (brief pause) "me"

4  SELF:"Read me a sonnet."

DEVICE: Ok. Broadcasting to (brief pause) "me"

5  SELF:"Tell me I'm beautiful."

DEVICE: Ok. Broadcasting to (brief pause) "me"

The list goes on but I think you get the idea.  I didn't understand at first but i rephrased as to not use the "m-word" for the same reuest (i.e. "sing a song for us"). One day I slipped up on the "me-word" rule: Hey g-word, tell me the latest on cryptocurrency in the news. I heard "DEVICE: Ok. Broadcasting to (brief pause) "me". But Shortly after, my girlfriend, who is often on the third floor, came downstairs and said "what did you say? I couldn't understand you." I looked confused so she told me that the attic device played a recording that sounded like me saying ""something something in the News". Then we tested it a few times and we know that it's being sent to that device as if it's named "me". We can get a broadcast or music to go specifically to "kitchen" and "bedroom" as well as "attic" if used in the same way (i.e."tell kitchen buttered toast"DEVICE: Ok. Broadcasting to (brief pause) "kitchen"). But "me" designates the attic device.

I presume anyone who has been tech support instinctively will ask so here are the replies:

-yes I have restarted,

-yes, i powered down, unplugged, waited 5 minutes, powered back on

-Yes, I checked all the settings,

-No, no where is it labeled "me" and neither are any of the accounts or names or nicknames on those accounts.

-All three devices are on the same wifi network with same accounts associated.

-YesI I have FACTORY reset and reconfigured them all,

-Yes, i logged out all accounts and disassociated them from these devices, uninstalled then reinstalled: Google Home, Google assistant, then powered devices, 5 minutes, power on, reinstalled, rebuilt the  home (different rooms, different labels), started devices from scratch, connected one by one...

...regardless, it's still considered that the same device is "me" and broadcasts to it the same way.  It's functionally a psudonym, so bbasically use it as another name for attic (i.e. SELF:"hey g-word tell me I'm home and there's sushi in the kitchen if you're hungry"...G-WORD:"ok, broadcasting to *pause* Me'") But i still slip up and use "me" unintentionally:

i.e.

DEVICE: Would you like more context?

SELF: yes, tell me more

DEVICE: Ok. Broadcasting to (brief pause) "me"

Anyone else get this? Any suggestions? It would be nice to not have to watch the way i speak to avoid interrupting a nap or business call.

That's REALLY odd... Honestly ..factory reset and start from scratch, it will save tons of time rather than fiddling with each setting.  Can you let me know once you have done this and tested ?

I can see, now, that i forgot to put in the word "Factory" and some other key points, here is the updated explication (heads up, this is in both a technical and a frustrated passive aggressive tone due to the fact that i've worn the hat of a systems administrator and asked "is your computer plugged in" and this is not my first rodeo):

"Before anyone who has been tech support asks,

-yes I have restarted,

-yes, i powered down, unplugged, waited 5 minutes, powered back on

-Yes, I checked all the settings,

-No, no where is it labeled "me" and neither are any of the accounts or names or nicknames on those accounts.

...regardless, still considers that same device as "me" and broadcasts to it the same way."

I appreciate the gravity check, it can often help, but unfortunately I only come upon complex problems for which the usual FAQ simply won't do.

Hey folks,
It looks like we haven't heard back from the OP so I'm going to go ahead and lock the thread. If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to create a new thread.

Have a great day,
