Connected my new nest hub tonight or so I thought. My Google home app shows it as kitchen display settings also show that it is on the correct Wi-Fi network. It will only respond by saying please connect to Google Home app.
I am on the Google Home app but I am not sure what it wants me to change so that it will respond properly.

The first thing I would try is rebooting the device.
Disconnect it from power and leave it disconnected for 1 minute before reconnecting the power.
If the issue persists, it's possible the setup did not fully complete. I'd recommend factory resetting the device and retrying setup.
