This applies to the entire environment, not just one product. We have extremely automated houses, lights, hoover, Washing Machine, Dryer, Dishwasher, TVs, smoke and fire alarms and other media devices are all internet enabled and have a google device in every room (10 or so), we also have two linked households in different EU countries (UK and Sweden), if its available we will always buy a smart home device rather then a 'mundane one'.
We have recently experienced several issues with the systems that seem to indicate a global reduction in utility and resources, for example integration with apps such as spotify, problems interpreting commands that were straight forward before (having to repeat several times) , apparent censorship of search terms and enquiries (anything vaguely controversial like religion, politics etc is responded with 'I dont understand' we would prefer 'I am censored on this topic' at least we would know its intentional rather the an apparent failure of the language passer. )
We discuss and look up a vast variety of topics from advanced science to world affairs and its getting to the point that we dont bother using google anymore and go straight to other AIs and search methods, which really hampers the utility we used to have just to ask google to clarify a point or provide additional information.
It also takes a lot longer to respond with periods of silence almost as if there is some extra process deciding what it can and can not respond to, who makes these decisions?
If the system is going to become only effective at turning lights on and off (and it messes up these as well) then we will and can jump ship.
What is going on?
