Apple Music linked but Google home says it isn't linked

My Apple Music is linked to my Google home. Google home says that my Apple Music account needs to be linked first... it is linked, how can I get Google home to play my Apple Music subscription?

• Are you experiencing the same inconvenience with other music providers or just Apple Music?
• Do you have another mobile device connected to the Google Home device and with the same account? If so, is it experiencing the same inconvenience with the default music server?

For now, I’d suggest the following:

• Make sure you have the latest versions of the Google Home app, Apple Music, and your mobile device's operating system.
