Are Google nest hub alarms device specific?

PB_LSL

I'm thinking of getting several Google nest hubs for my kids' bedrooms, primarily to use as alarms. Everyone prefers to wake up to their own Spotify playlist. Is it possible to have different alarm settings on each device? Do they need to be on separate accounts for that or can they be on the same account?

Hi PB_LSL,

For multiple users to have access to their own playlists and be able to play music at the same time multiple 'voice matched' accounts need to be added to the Google Home app along with their Spotify account information.

Voice match:

Actually the playlists are all accessible through the same Spotify account. The issue is more that I want to set:

- an alarm for Hub A that plays Alan's playlist at 6:45am

- an alarm for Hub B that plays Ben's playlist at 7:15am, and

- an alarm for Hub C that plays Carol's playlist at 7:35am.

I don't care for the voice match.

Hi folks,

Thanks for visiting the Community.

@PB_LSL, I totally agree of what Cathal mentioned above. If other users have different alarms and want to use their own Spotify playlist, members would need to train their voice under the Voice Match option from the Home app. Also, since they are using the same Spotify account, there might be problems on playing since it can only play one device at a time, not unless the Spotify is enrolled under a family account.

Feel free to respond if you have additional questions and I'd be glad to answer it for you.

Thanks, @Cathal_S for helping us answer this thread.

Hi,

It's not a matter of agreeing with @Cathal_S  or not.  It's just that neither of you has actually answered the question asked or the clarification I posted.

Hi PB_LSL,

Sorry for the confusion. I understand that you have multiple Google Nest display set up in your home, however, if they are using one Spotify account, other Google Nest display won't work since it will only play music one speaker at a time.
