Audio Issues

DylanontheRoof

So I recently purchased a Google Nest mini and I’ve linked it up to my at home TV (Sony X90j) and for some reason the TV the audio will only play through the Google nest speaker. I have gone into the Google Home app and made sure the preferred audio device is set as my TV but whenever I do that I instead just get no audio. If the preferred audio is set to my Google nest it will play through that speaker though. Not sure what’s happening, isoh!

Hey DylanontheRoof,

Thanks for reaching out, and apologize for the late response. To confirm, do you have a speaker group? If yes, is your TV included? Is it a cast-enabled TV or is there a Chromecast device connected to it? Are you trying to use your Nest Mini as an external speaker for your TV?

I'm looking forward to your response.

Cheers,

Muddi
