When I cast audio from my phone to Google groups to play a Spotify list, the music begins in the devices and then cuts out after about half a minute. when I ask any of my devices to play music in a specific group the same thing happens, the music starts in order devices and then cuts out while on my phone I can still see that the that the music is playing but no audio is coming out. I've tried switching off and restarting all of the devices but it makes no difference

Sorry to hear about this experience with your Google Nest speakers. A few things I'd like to ask-- when did you start experiencing this? Does it happen also when you try to play radio, news or podcast?
Let's try first the following:
Let me know if you notice any changes after trying these steps.

Hi. Sorry for the late response. Spotify music is still cutting out after 30 seconds or so if I play the music through a speaker group. I've tried shutting power to the speakers, router and wi-fi point but this made no difference. Generally the whole "Hey/Okay google thing has become a bit buggy over the past few weeks, not stopping a podcast or Spotify, when I say 'Okay, google, Stop' seeming not to hear me. misunderstanding what I say.

Hi Cloudtales,
Thanks for responding.
How far is your Google Nest speakers from your router? Have you already tried playing other media from a different music provider to see if you will get the same results?
If testing other music providers still show the same results, let's perform a complete reset to your Google Nest speakers and let's see if you will still experience the same thing.
Keep me posted!

The Google Nest router is in the hallway about 4 metres away from the doorbell with only a front door and glass inside door. It's been installed and working fine for a couple of years now and this delayed response is very recent. I know how to reset the speakers but with several of them around the house, I'm reluctant to do this as I have looked into the matter and have learned that this problem is a common one amongst users - and one that resetting is not a guaranteed solution, I would be much happier if you could fix whatever is causing the problem at your end. I do not accept at face value the assumption the problem is at my end as the prevalence of the problem seems to indicate it is a problem at your end.

Hi Cloudtales,
I understand. Since you have a multiple Google Nest speakers set up under same Wi-Fi network, let's reboot the router simply by unplugging it from the power source for at least 20 minutes. As soon as it is plugged back, try to check one of your speakers and see if it will exhibit the same behavior. If it still shows, I would recommend performing a reset to one of the speakers so we can compare its behavior to the other speakers.
Keep me posted.

Sure, go ahead, lock the thread. Google support has been less than useless on this occasion.
