Audio skipping while playing white noise and podcasts

Both (+ nest mini) of my devices recently started to skip while it's playing the white noise sound and or a podcast (the only audio I use on it). I have rebooted both devices, unplugged them, rebooted the internet, etc. It's still doing it, and it's driving me absolutely crazy to listen to white noise skip in and out all night :')

I appreciate the details you’ve shared as well as the steps you’ve tried. Since resetting is not yet done, let’s go ahead and perform a complete reset to one of your speakers so we can compare its behavior after the reset.
