Hello @Loony
Thank you for posting in the community.
I know how difficult it is when your Google Home app is not working properly. Let me give you some steps you can try to troubleshoot your Google Home app.
1. App and Device Optimization:
- App Update: Ensure you have the latest version of the Google Home app installed on your iPad or iPhone. Updates often include bug fixes and performance improvements. Open the App Store and check for updates.
- Device Restart: Sometimes a simple restart of your iPad or iPhone can resolve temporary glitches that might be causing slow loading. Power off your device completely, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
2. Google Home App Cache:
- Clear Cache (if applicable): While iOS doesn't have a built-in option to clear an app's cache directly, you can try offloading the Google Home app. This will delete the app and its cache data, but keep your settings and data intact. Here's how to do it:
- Go to Settings on your iPad or iPhone.
- Tap on General.
- Find and tap on iPhone/iPad Storage (depending on your device).
- Scroll down the list of apps and find Google Home.
- Tap on Google Home.
- Select "Offload App." This will delete the app and its data but keep your settings.
- Reinstall the Google Home app from the App Store.
3. Network Connectivity:
- Strong Wi-Fi: Ensure your iPad or iPhone has a strong and stable Wi-Fi connection. A weak signal can contribute to slow loading times. Try moving closer to your router or restarting your Wi-Fi if necessary.
4. Report the issue:
- If the above steps don't resolve the issue, consider reporting it to Google. They might be unaware of the problem and can investigate further. Here's how to report it:
- Open the Google Home app.
- Tap on your profile picture or icon in the top-right corner.
- Select "Help & Feedback."
- Choose "Send feedback" and describe the slow loading and disappearing list issue you're experiencing in the Automations tab.
Please follow the steps above and let me know how they go. Thank you.
Regards,
Jorge
